one never goes hungry (or thirsty!) in Hungary

I realise its been nearly two weeks since we’ve returned from Hungary but that time has been taken up with digesting all the lovely food we ate while we were there and giving our livers a break 🙂

We had a great trip made even better by the company of Joszef, Peter and Jeppe and my parents (not forgetting of course all the Hungarian relatives!). The hospitality was tremendous and the generosity quite staggering. The only blot on the holiday was poor Henriks encounter with a rather violent stomach bug – hardly pleasant for him and I was given strict orders to make sure I drank his share of wine in addition to my own (didn’t quite manage that). Lachlan blossomed under all the attention and was so shocked to find himself back in Scotland with just his mammy for company that he fell ill for a whole week!

The trip is documented quite well on flickr, so for further details head on over there.

Today is actually our 3rd wedding anniversary (doesn’t time fly?) and Henrik is quite graciously letting me attend a Sex in the City party and film viewing this evening. We did go out for a lovely lunch and as we have no babysitter its either one of us goes out or none…I am trying to feel less guilty with all these excuses! He however now has plenty of ammunition for getting out to watch plenty of the Euro 2008 games 🙂
